Small Business Saturday: AGI Atlanta’s top 3 local faves!

As a small business ourselves, AGI Atlanta finds every chance it has to work with small local businesses. Every Thursday, you’ll find our team hanging out together and in the spirit of Small Business Saturday, we wanted to share a few of our local favorites!

  1. Rose and Crown, East Cobb

With the restaurant ideally located down the street to our office, you’ll find us hanging out here quite a bit.  It has a fun pub like feel and fantastic food and drinks. While they claim to be a Denver Broncos bar, they are always showing the top games, and not just in American Football. You’ll like hanging out here if you enjoy Fut ball (soccer),  basketball, cricket, etc. Not only do they cater to those who enjoy sports, they also have different events weekly. We like going for Karaoke on Thursdays but they also have trivia, live music, and amazing brunch on the weekends!

2. Ship and Anchor, Roswell Rd., Sandy Springs

Speaking of Trivia, one of the top trivia nights to go to belongs to Ship and Anchor. part of the Dunwoody Restaurant Group. You will find that at AGI Atlanta, we are extremely competitive and enjoy working as a team to win. Not only are we showing off our command of random knowledge, but we take advantage of their fantastic food options. They have classics like salads and wings but they also offer great dishes like Shepard’s Pie and Chicken Ranch Monterrey. Please note that the trivia is NSFW or children.  Don’t forget to take advantage of the free answer on Team Trivia’s website.

3. The Basement Theatre, Wieuca Rd., Atlanta

This last local favorite is not a restaurant, but a fantastic recent discovery.  We happened upon this theatre when we were looking for an improv spot. True to its name, it is located in a basement. Your first time there may throw you off just as much as we were. As you pull in, look for the improv sign and walk down to the bottom of the hill. Through the “porch” you will find a hallway that leads to the admissions/bar. You roll the dice for your price, which makes it a fun frugal choice. We have only participated in the Thursday night 10 pm Improv show but every time has been amazing. The hosts do a great job running the show and the laughs keep rolling in. We discovered we had some comedians in our crew, too!

We hope you take a chance to check out our faves! Keep checking our Facebook page to see where our team is at each week and feel free to join us. Remember to support your local businesses. Post in the comments below your favorites and we will check them out too!
